Black and White Series presented by Midwest Regional Ballet and PSU Students Against Violence

The contemporary ballet performance deals with the fears & shame caused by abuse, addiction, suicide, mental illness, and sexual assault. This show is suited for ages 13 & up. The event will start out with a disclaimer about triggers and who SVP is, advocacy services, and self-care. Then the ballet will be introduced and start the performance. Once it ends, there will be a brief intermission followed by a discussion panel consisting of the Artistic Director, Victim Advocate, and Mental Health professional to unpack the topics shown. In the lobby there will be tables where audience members can gather resources on the topics discussed as well as self-care strategies and information. This will all take place at the Bicknell Center, specifically in the Linda & Lee Scott Performance Hall.
