Dress Code

Students that are not appropriately dressed for class will be dismissed from class.

NO STREET SHOES ON DANCE FLOORS.

Pro Company

  • black leotard only, any style*
  • pink tights*
  • pink canvas ballet flats
  • ballet skirt (required for ballet) or
  • boy shorts or leggings (permitted for modern)
  • Pointe shoes (if on pointe)
  • Half shoe for modern

    * May wear any color leotard and legging to modern

Senior Company

  • Same as Pro Company

Junior Company     

  • Same as Pro Company

Prep Company

  • Same as Pro Company

Boys

  • White T shirt*
  • Black tights or fitted sweats*
  • dance belt for older gentlemen
  • white or black canvas ballet flats
  • nude slip on jazz shoes
  • white socks
  • shorts permitted modern/contemporary class

    * May wear any color shirt and tight/short to modern

 

Aerial

  • Leotard or compression top*
  • leggings or compression pants
  •  
  • long or 3/4 length sleeves on leotard or compression top

    * long or 3/4 length sleeves recommended

Ages 11 & Up

  • black leotard only, any style

  • boy shorts (permitted for jazz or hip hop)
  • nude slip on jazz shoes
  • black tap shoes
  • Pointe shoes (if on Pointe)

Ages 7-10

  • pink or lavender leotard any style
  • pink tights
  • pink ballet flats
  • black tap shoes
  • nude slip on jazz shoes
  • ballet skirt or boy shorts. NO TUTUS
  • jazz pants permitted for jazz class

Ages 3-6

  • pink or lavender leotard any style
  • pink tights
  • ballet skirt or boy shorts. NO TUTUS
  • pink ballet flats
  • black tap shoes (no ties)

 

Hair & Accessories 

  • All female dancers must wear a clean ballet bun or french braid for all classes. No messy buns. 
  • Short hair must be off of face
  • No jewelry other than small earings
  • No pony tails
  • No bra tops without a leotard
  • Tights are always required
  • No torn or shredded tights

Adult Classes

Dress comfortably. Wear something you can move freely in, but not something so loose that you might feel uncomfortable stretching in. Traditional ballet attire is always welcome, but not required. Athletic wear is recommended for fitness classes. Compression wear is recommended for ballet-oriented classes. NO STREET SHOES PERMITTED ON DANCE FLOORS. Ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or socks are acceptable for adult classes.
